Merry Christmas
Well we wrapped up the last concert event of the year last night up at First PResbyterian's Second Saturday Concerts in Dearborn, MI. Thank you all for having us come. It was good to play with the Higher Ground band again and rock out the Christmas Carols. Some songs of this event are going to be on cable television in the Wayne county area (Northwest Detroit) There are many events and concerts already being planned for 2004. I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Relax and enjoy the holidays!

Nashville, TN
I just got back from my annual journey to the music city for the Worship Together conference. As usual it was an amazing time or worship and learning. Again I had the chance to meet with Tim Hughes (Here I am To Worship) as well as Nathan & Christy Nockels of Watermark and talk about worship leading and learn some great thoughts. It was another great experience and boost. I have been learning the new David Crowder song "O Praise Him" that is awesome and will be sharing it in worship this week in our services. Im sure some amazing things will happen in our worship time. If you haven't heard that Cd yet. Buy it and give it a spin. It's guaranteed to blow you away.

On The Air
Yesterday I walked outside my front door and found Corey airborne on his bike jumping off a homemade ramp (a long board and his wagon) Last Wednesday Ethan was airborn for the first time as we flew from Detroit to Miami to visit family. Saturday night I got a call from a new friend who heard "Overflow" on the air in Toledo,OH on Yes FM. There seems to be a theme going on here. Im higher than a kite and excited to hear about the airplay as we break new ground in the radio world. Thanks YES FM for playing the music!! Get "Overflow" on your station too wherever you are! With You
I had an awesome weekend at the camp in Lapeer leading worship for the mens retreat. What a powerful worship time as 30 some guys sang their hearts out and as we were led in messages by the former professional baseball tycoon Frank Tanana. I have been reading through the letters of Paul in the old Testament and was inspired to write from my devotion time. THese are some of the words of a worship song I'm working on and wanted to share....
Your love is perfect, Your love is beautiful
It leaves me breathless, It fills my soul
Your love is deeper than the ocean
And it captured me in the undertow
Everday I'm falling more in love with You
Falling everyday in love with You, with You

Top Thrill Dragster
Yes thats right. I rode the Dragster. The ride well known for being contantly closed down this summer for technical problems was running and after a 45 minute wait I took the ride. This is the fastest, largest rollercoaster in the world. Amazing stuff. There is nothing like being thrown from 0-121 MPH in less than 4 seconds, racing over 400 feet above the ground and then straight down again. An unbelievable ride that cost $25 million to make. Being that it boils down to almost a 25 second ride it makes for a whopping million dollar a second entertainment! So why am I telling you all this? Well while I was inline I noticed everyone coming back when the ride was over sitting there on the ride with hair standing straight up, eyes popping out and jaws dropped. They were floored and amazed. Definitely worth the wait and something you would never forget. Thats what made me think. Although this is cool this is all temporary. Whats going to be more amazing than the top flight dragster is the day we get to ride into the sky at the second coming. We wont be coming down after 400 some feet and we wont have to pay $40 to get into the park to ride it. From earth to heaven, most likely in the blink of an eye and I guarantee all jaws will be dropping and eyeballs will be popping when it all happens. That will definitely be worth the wait.

Prison Ministry
Yesterday I had the opportunity to do a musical performance on the Prison Fellowship Ministries Campaign at a prison in Brighton, MI. I spent about half an hour sharing music from my CD Overflow with what we referred to as a “captive” audience. No pun intended. What I noticed in that short time there was that ministering to people in that setting is a gold mine of opportunities. The inmates were inspired and moved by all the music presented to them and also by the testimony given by a former inmate. God worked in amazing ways. Several of them found Jesus for the first time. Every single one of them sat there with open minds and open hearts and you could tell the holy spirit was moving. I started thinking how great it would be if we here in the “free world” could be that open, that broken to soak up the message whether in song or words and be changed. Do we always have to be at rock bottom to look up? Do we come to worship on Sundays ready to be filled with God and overflow with praise or is it simply routine? For those hundreds of inmates at Brighton this event was not a routine but an evening that they anticipated for months and a moment where they saw God and will never be the same. Is worshipping God and hearing his message routine for you or are you excited about knowing Him better and getting your life straightened out? Something to think about..........

I am Still Alive
For the past few months I have been out on the road travelling but not doing the music scene. I have had the privelege of spending time with my family and youth at the church travelling to places I've never been before and visiting old friends. LA, San Francisco, Napa, Chicago, Niagra falls, Adirondack Mountains of New York, Cedar Point in Ohio, Missouri, East Tennessee and several other places. I have had an awesome time exploring God's creation and spending time with friends and family. I hope to get some pictures up on here soon to view. I have been home for 3 weeks this summer and things are slowly coming to a halt on the travelling for the time being. For now you can find them at ofoto.com I hope everyone has had a great summer as well!

What its all about
The other day I received an email from a gentlman in Belgium. He runs a radio station that powers at 50,000 watts and plays music of all sorts. He had said that he had heard some of my songs on a website and was anxious to include them in their airplay. Just a few weeks ago I was talking to a friend who told me how the song Hard To Believe had answered some questions about her purpose at her church and God's role for her life. Just yesterday I heard from another person who was ministered to by the song Safe & Sound. This is whats its all about. Not the hype of having a CD or doing a concert but reaching people and effecting lives in a powerful way. I am very touhced by these stories and would love to hear from you if you ever are ministered to by any of the music from the CD Overflow. God works in mysterious ways. Partnership with Chuck Colson's Prison Fellowship Ministry
I just received news today that I will be a part of OSL Operation Starting Lineup as the Prison Fellowship Ministry moves into Michigan later this summer for their campaign here. I auditioned for this opportunity a few weeks ago up in Northville and am very excited about this ministry.Strangely enough Im excited to say I'm going in!! This opens the doors to new opportunites to share the music with people who not only need to hear it but also be affected by it and make life changing decisions. Keep this in your prayers as the organization prepares for the summer visit, as they travel around to prisons in the state of Michigan and as I begin training for the event and my ministry there.

News
Let me tell you about whats going on right now for me in case you are interested. The CD Overflow is now being printed and will be available on March 20th. This is brand new stuff including christian modern rock and worship that I know you will enjoy and be blessed by. Rumor has been going around for about a year now that there is a book in the works. Yes it is true. I am trying my skills out in writing (without rhyme and music) on this project. The present title is "Overflow- Discovering Real Life Through Worship". This is a personal look at the music of Overflow, stories from worship as well as encouraging insight and facts on how discovering what worship is can lead to living life to the fullest physically, mentally and spiritually. Keep it in your prayers as I continue to write ( its already been about a year in the works) Pray that if God wants this to happen that He will give me the right words to say. Thanks you guys!!
